Yesterday, an approximately of 200km far away from home, a one day trip in Melaka City Centre (which is known as one of UNESCO World Heritage Site), this was a family trip, inclusive embarked a short visit to Melaka Museum Stamp. We believe this was one of the best museum stamp available in Malaysia that we have never been visited before.
The museum was 2
stories building; a western architecture design; a compelling aesthetic values to demonstrate the classic concept; which was built in 1954. In the early operation, this building was deployed as a Melaka State Museum by G.E.W. Wisdom, a Resident Commissioner in Melaka, before it was shifted to a new location.
Recently, took over by the Melaka State Government in collaboration with POS Malaysia, to launch the Stamp Museum in Melaka on 16, July 2006. Allocated at very strategic location where numerous historic building in place within vicinity, such as The A’Farmosa and Dataran Pahlawan (The Warrior Square), where many tourist visited here during weekend and public holiday.

Since, this was a first time visiting here, it was very exciting to explore a new things, inspiring our aiming to gain any valuable information and artifect.
The entrance fee was relatively affordable, it was only RM3.00 per person for adult. We spent 2 hours walked around the museum and snapping photographs.

Beside the entrance counter, a small Stamp Shop, who managed by a veteran Chinese man. We found a excellent essortment stamp album of New Imperial Postage Vol. 1 & 2 published by Stanley Gibbons was displayed.
There were several Museum owned by the
Melaka State Government as illustrated in below photo.
Numerous international stamps with sentimental values were displayed at Ground Floor level inclusive equipment/tools use by the Post Office. Stamps news were displayed in promotion philatelic to the visitor.

There were many valuable articles
in this museum which you may not find in the reference books. The information was remarkable, some of them were useful for the philatelic.
However, there are certain collection of the Straits Settlements stamps were not displayed.
On the other hand, the chronology
of the Malayan Postal history can be further elaborate, to make visitor feel
scarce, invoke emotions and make the heart flutter.
A small library could be accommodated to visitor intend to find any philatelic references, and also could be organized a gathering amongst philatelist and collectors.

Nevertheless, outside of the museum could be attached with billboard or digital display to advertise an event and news.
So visitor would be more familiar pertaining the world's of philately.
