5.0  Expertizing

Expertizing by philatelic experts to aid collectors in performing judgement of the authenticity is merely required to obtain certification. It's would be costly and timely consuming.

In General contacts, an expertizing normally is discouraged for handstamps. Many handstamps are counterfeit cause easily to duplicate or made adjustment. Also an expert will apply certain protocol in expertizing of the Mint stamps.

Developing our owned data-base is essentially required prior to expertizing of the postage stamps in professional manners.

In contact of Johore classic postages, we believe that any handstamps will be counterfeit such as 1876 Johore, 2c Brown, Scott #1, Overprints Star and Crescent, it’s being trading and sale as as-is space-filler postages in the auctions. Genuine stamp would be overprints Star and Crescent, as refers to Specialised Catalogue.

Simple Expertizing - Left stamp flaw at face & vignette whereas Right stamp is flawless. Left stamp without watermarks whereas Right stamp with watermarks. Left stamp use Lithography Transfer & whereas Right stamp use Typo. Left stamp perforation is small holes whereas Right stamp perforation is big holes.

As Conclusion – Left stamp is Forgery and Right stamp is Genuine.
