A rarity of the First Official Malaysian stamp album, in red featuring the latest coat of arms (1966), motto “Unity Is Strength”, 47 years old, comprising 40 stamps mint never hinged, from 27 August 1965 to 8 February 1969 issues, 158mm x 192mm, wording in French language, believe used by the Malaysian Federal Minister of Works, Posts and Telecommunications, Tun V.T Sambanthan (2 April 1956 to 31 December 1971), attending 16^th. UPU Congress Meeting, Tokyo, 14 November 1969, as one of important artefact and milestone in Malaysian postal history since adjoining UPU on 17 January 1958. Perhaps, this was 2^nd times Malaysian Minister attended the meeting after Vienna 1964, hence as one of mechanism to promote Malaysia on eyes of the world indeed.

Former member countries of the UPU

In the course of history a number of member countries of the UPU saw their membership lapse, due to political changes.
