EXPLORATION OF SCANDINAVIAN STAMPS
Studies on Swedish classic stamps are really complex and difficulty especially on 1858 issues. Numerous forgeries stamps were almost similar colour to those of the genuine, except 9 ore. The famous forgeries stamps were attributed which so-called like “Paris” Forgeries, “Sperati” Forgeries, “Tretio” Forgeries and faked “Steinberg” cover, according to Swedish Philately.
The genuine stamps were printed by using typography technique in comparison to forgery stamps were produced by photography transfers of the genuine
stamp and after being retouched these photographs.
In term of paper qualities, the forgery stamps were used handmade & ribbed paper and could be easily identified by the colour of greyish. The gum has vertical and horizontal lines. Irregular line perforation and varying in size.
There were also reprints issued in 1865, 1871 & 1885, perforation of 13. Reprints of 1865 was printed on rough paper, 1871 on thin shiny paper and 1885 on shiny paper.

This philatelic study is merely focusing on numerous faces values of the 1858 issues consisting of
5 ore, 9 ore, 12 ore Type I, 12 ore Type II, 24 ore, 30 ore and 50 ore. Total complete set of
7 stamps with different denomination to be analysed.
