Rio Muni is a part of Equatorial Guinea in the Western Africa. It is bordered by Cameroun in the north and Republics of Gabon in the south.  Capital is Bata.

Postage stamps and postal history of Spanish Colonies are related to stamps and their history issued by the constitute Spanish Guinea between 1960 and 1968. From 1959 to 1968, Rio Muni was treated as a separate overseas province of Spain until it combined with Fernando Poo to form Equatorial Guinea on 12 October 1968.

All postages belong to Rio Muni could be classify as vintage stamps. Issues from 1961 on added of the inscription “ESPANA”. The first stamps of Rio Muni were issued on 27 April 1960. The last issue of Rio Muni was issued of three signs of the Zodiac, it was issued on 25 April 1968. Spanish Guinea became an independent republic on 12 October 1968.
